Call me ignorant, but before this year my knowledge of U.S. history has been, and still is very limited (I’m from the UK btw).

This year, however, has been slightly different, and in general, I’m trying to read more history.

In my reading, one person I’ve found particularly interesting is Benjamin Franklin.

Franklin lived a ridiculously interesting, borderline obscene life.

From being a young runaway printer to becoming a scientist, inventor, writer, diplomat, and entrepreneur, Franklin was what you’d call a jack of all trades and a real one-in-a-million, if not billion kind of person.

He was unbelievably intelligent, wise, and extremely witty and it’s no wonder he’s still greatly admired by a huge number of people to this day such as Elon Musk and the late great Charlie Munger.

Also, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a person who’s ever said or written so many brilliant quotes.

So let’s dive into a few of them!

Here are 50 great quotes from the one and only, Benjamin Franklin…

“Have you something to do tomorrow? Do it today.”
